Profiles
Open many profiles at once
Select several profiles and choose Open: the Browser Queue starts them a few at a time, and you can follow, pause or cancel it from Settings.
Guide · 1 min read
Opening one profile starts its browser straight away. Opening two or more hands them to the Browser Queue, so dozens of browsers do not start in the same second and slow the whole computer down.
1. Select the profiles
- On the Profiles page, narrow the list to the profiles you want: a group, a search or a filter.
- Tick each profile's box, Shift-click to take a range, or tick the header box for the whole page.
What you should see
The bar above the table says how many are selected.
2. Choose Open
- Choose Open in the bar above the table.
- For more than ten profiles PowerOps asks how to open them: Standard opens them a few at a time and leaves them open; Rolling keeps at most a set number open and opens the next one each time you close one.
- Choose Start opening.
What you should see
A message says the queue has started, and the header shows Opening 3/20 while it runs. Each browser window appears as its turn comes.
3. Follow, pause or cancel
- Open Settings, then Browser Queue. The active batch shows how many profiles are waiting, launching, running, failed and skipped.
- Choose Pause to stop starting new browsers, and Resume to carry on.
- Choose Cancel remaining to drop the profiles not opened yet.
Good to know
- Profiles that are already open, or archived, are skipped rather than opened twice.
- Only one queue runs on a computer at a time. If one is running, PowerOps says so and points to Settings, Browser Queue.
- Settings, Browser Queue, Limits sets how many browsers start at the same moment (1 to 5, default 3) and how many a Rolling batch keeps open (1 to 50, default 10).
Drive the open profiles together with the Synchronizer
- Drive several profiles at once with the SynchronizerMirror what you do in one browser window into the others: clicks, typing, scrolling and pointer movement, plus text, tab and window actions from the console.Next guide
- Add, test and assign a proxySave a proxy once in your workspace's proxy library, test it, and assign it to the profiles that should use it. Each profile gets its own copy, and PowerOps checks it again when the profile opens.Next guide
