What this site stores

Before you answer the notice, this site stores nothing at all. Your answer is kept as one entry in your browser's localStorage, named po-analytics-consent, holding the word granted or denied. It holds nothing about you. You can delete it at any time through your browser's site data settings; the only effect is that the notice appears once more and analytics stop until you answer again.

Analytics, if you accept

Accepting loads Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to count visits and see which pages get read. IP addresses are anonymised. That is the only measurement on this site, and it exists so we know which pages are worth writing more of.

Declining loads nothing: no script is requested, no cookie is set and no request leaves your browser for a measurement service. This is not a banner that measures you while asking permission to measure you.

What this site does not do

There are no advertising pixels, no third-party fonts and no embedded content from other services. Nothing on this site follows you to another site, and nothing is sold or handed to a data broker.

The download

The download link points at a storage host. When you fetch the file, that host sees the request the way any file server sees any request. The site itself adds nothing to it and stores nothing about it.

Changes

Any change to this policy lands on this page, with the date at the top updated to match. There is no separate notification system for it.
